IntroBerry is a pretty solid character which is honestly rather balanced, his choice of gadgets and star powers are all good picks in different maps and matchups. He is still a support so ensure that you are zoning, damaging and healing properly. Take advantage of the long lasting puddles that might bait enemies into running into them for more damage while using them for heals or increase reload speed (with star power).Gadget
Friendship is great: allows you to have a quick heal + push enemies who are jumping you/in a midst of a charge up / super
(Frank’s super can be cancelled by this gadget etc.)
Healthy additives: Is only really useful for either holding a position or doing additional damage to the heist. However, you can use it in 2 distinct ways when attacking the heist. When using the Floor is Fine star power, you can use this gadget > thrown at feet > and use the +50% reload speed for attacking the safe (berry’s attacks don’t stack, only one puddle’s ticks + impact damage)
On the other hand, you can use the gadget to hit the safe directly, with 1 throw lasting 9 ticks.Star PowerFloor is Fine: Provides additional reload speed with a pretty high uptime, almost 100% for myself through my matches. Which allow for more zoning + healing throughout the gameMaking a Mess: Has a really nice 20% damage only for impact on unpainted areas, which can be nice in very few modes and their following maps. I recommend this in Solo Showdown and Knockout. If they have squishy targets, this could also be a good pick.The extra damage from Making a Mess is nice, but the overall effect of losing more heals and zone throughout the game might not make this a solid pick in most maps. Take note berry is still a support character.GearShieldWith his absolutely tiny health pool, berry can be taken out really easily when he’s not constantly healing himself, he loses a team fight at close range. The extra 900 health is nice, but always try to zone enemies out. This is mandatory.DamageDue to your own range, you will likely be in mid to close range getting hit during your fights, you can do more damage while healing yourself at lower health levels. Gadget ChargeI will only use this in times where you feel you can play safer and avoid fights, only really using the gadgets for “Heist”.HealthI’m not going to lie, I don’t think this is a good choice of a gadget pick, with your low health pool, you don’t really heal much from this gear, when you could heal much more often with your primary attack. Personally I prefer slotting in something else, but it is up to you.ConclusionOverall, he’s a pretty solid character which pairs with almost any composition, has many matchups which he favors, though always watch out for enemies with high burst damage as he has a very small health pool, making that his biggest weakness.
